Meet Our Head Instructor – Ms. Harpreet K. Virk

(5th Degree Black Belt)

Ms. Harpreet K. Virk is the proud Head Instructor of South Bucks Taekwon-Do. A dedicated martial artist with over 25 years of experience, she first began training at just 10 years old in Hillingdon, Middlesex. From a young age, Harpreet showed remarkable talent and commitment, competing at both national and international level as a Colour Belt and later as a Black Belt.

Alongside her martial arts journey, Harpreet is also a highly accomplished professional. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law, a master’s in international commercial law, and is called to the Bar of England and Wales. Today, she balances her career as an Assistant Solicitor in Gerrards Cross with her true passion—teaching Taekwon-Do.

After returning to training in 2010, Harpreet quickly rose through the ranks, earning her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Degree Black Belts in succession. In 2015, she completed an international instructor’s course in Las Vegas, further enhancing her skills as a teacher and mentor. She opened South Bucks TKD in 2012, and since then has helped many students achieve their own Black Belts.

Promoted to 5th Degree in 2022, Harpreet is now working towards her 6th Degree while inspiring the next generation of martial artists, including her two children, who have recently begun their own Taekwon-Do journeys.

Harpreet is passionate about making Taekwon-Do accessible to everyone. She has completed specialist training in teaching children with special educational needs and is preparing to launch SEN-friendly classes in the near future.

At South Bucks TKD, Harpreet combines her discipline, experience, and compassion to create an encouraging environment where students of all ages can grow in confidence, fitness, and skill.
